When your ship set sail, there was a bright red dawn,
and you should’ve been warned but just carried on.
You cast all reason aside in an effort so vain,
and got left without an umbrella in the pouring rain.

Hell or high water, you couldn’t change course,
and as the flood came in you were full of remorse.
It seems you forgot all the lessons you learned,
and you hit a dead end and just couldn’t turn.

While all the sinners & saviours cried for apocalypse now,
you just waited for a miracle and forgot your vows.
There is no try, you only do or you don’t,
and in the end you were left throwing stones.

As your ship sank, you wished you’d been warned,
but it was eerily calm before the great storm.
Oh, the thunder boomed, and the lightning lit the sky,
the heavens tore open as you sat and cried.
